According to a news statement from the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), bicycle helmets manufactured by Triple Eight Distribution Inc are being recalled due to their failure to comply with CPSC safety standards for impact resistance, resulting in an increased injury risk during use. The affected items are labelled with a Little Tricky logo on both sides of the helmet and were available in black, white, pink and green. Consumers who have purchased the item may contact Triple Eight for a full refund.
As a Carlisle personal injury lawyer, I understand the manufacturing challenges companies face when attempting to meet federal safety standards. That said, I also know the importance meeting or surpassing those standards after having witnessed the devastating injuries consumers have sustained through the use of defective products over my career as a personal injury lawyer. I urge everyone to always wear the proper safety attire when engaging in rigorous outdoor or extreme sports to help prevent avoidable injuries.
