Two girls were hit by an SUV in Penn Hills on Tuesday, resulting in serious injuries. The 11-year-old was brought to Children’s Hospital when the SUV collided through a fence. Officials said she was dragged underneath the vehicle before it finally came to a stop. Both girls were walking together when they were hit by the SUV, which ran over the 12-year-old’s foot. “She said her foot got caught on the accelerator,” said a neighbor. “She couldn’t stop. She was trying to say it was the car’s fault.” According to news reports, police have not stated if they will file any charges against the 18-year-old driver.
