Penn Live reported that an accident on I-81 shut down the interstate just south of East Hanover Township on July 25. The shutdown occurred between the Route 72/Lebanon exit (Exit 90) and the Route 934/Annville-Ft. Indiana Town Gap exit (Exit 85). WGAL News 8 reported that the shutdown was due to a tractor trailer crash. The truck was hauling over 200 gallons of sulfuric acid, which leaked onto the interstate.
Have You Been Injured In An Interstate Traffic Accident? Is The Insurance Company Denying Your Accident Claim?
Insurance companies, especially insurance companies for trucking companies and truck drivers, work very hard to prove their insured is not responsible for the crash. If the insurance company can prove its driver is not responsible for the crash, the company does not owe you any money for your damages. Do not let an insurance company do this to you. Contact our office now for a free case evaluation with an experienced Harrisburg car accident attorney.
Gather Evidence To Prove Fault
It is crucial that you have evidence to prove the other driver is at fault for the collision in order to receive compensation for your injuries. If you cannot prove the other driver is at fault, you cannot receive any money for your damages. Therefore, at the scene of an accident, try to collect as much information as you can regarding the collision. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Information about the other driver including name, contact information, insurance information, and description of the vehicle
- Names and contact information for any eyewitnesses at the accident scene
- Name and badge number for the officer investigating the accident
- Photographs of the accident scene, including the vehicle involved, skid marks, traffic signals, traffic signs, and the surrounding area
Do Not Talk To The Insurance Company Until You Consult With One Of Our Attorneys!
Discussing the accident and/or your injuries with an insurance adjuster can be damaging to your accident claim. Insurance adjusters are not working for you. It is not their job to make sure you receive compensation for your injuries. Adjusters work for the insurance company. Their job is to limit the company's liability whenever possible.
Our attorneys are working for you! Our goal is to get you the maximum compensation allowable by law for your injuries, damages, and losses. To do this, we perform an extensive, comprehensive accident investigation to identify and preserve key evidence we use to prove the other driver caused the collision. The accident investigation is the foundation of building a strong case.
