In a press statement, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), in cooperation with Regal Lager, announced that a recall has been issued for a single model of Cybex child booster seats manufactured by Regal due to the inclusion of an incorrect warning label. The recall will correct language in the safety label. When the car is in motion the booster seat, if unsecured, could potentially harm occupants in the event of a sharp turn. The new label and corrected owners manual will amend the company’s official recommendations. These items will be provided by Regal to owners free of charge.
As a York personal injury lawyer, I’ve seen similar safety recalls many times in the past and understand the life-changing injuries that can result from the use of a defective children’s product. If you or your child have been injured through the normal use of a defective product, it may be in your interests to speak with an experienced personal injury lawyer to learn more about your rights as a consumer and the legal avenues that may be open to you.
