According to a press statement concerning Group Lemur Inc, approximately 1,750 units of the company’s children’s pajamas have been recalled, in cooperation with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The children’s sleepwear, which was manufactured in China and sold between January 2009 to November 2009, failed to meet the requirements of the Federal Flammability Standard. Children should immediately stop wearing the sleepwear, and consumers are being urged to contact the company directly or return the garments to the store they were purchased from to receive a refund.
As a Harrisburg personal injury lawyer, I’ve seen the sort of children’s product safety recall many times before and am aware of the potential dangers these substandard items pose to consumers and their children. If you or your child have suffered an injury through the normal use of a defective product, it may be in your interests to contact an experienced personal injury lawyer to learn more about your rights as a consumer.
