Around 12,000 Disney Fairies Plastic Racing Trikes are undergoing a recall. The announcement was made recently by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission along with Kiddieland Toys. The bikes are potentially dangerous because the fairy figurines on the bicycle may cause a laceration if a child were to fall on them. So far, a 3-year-old girl sustained a facial laceration near her right eye due to falling on the Disney figurines. The bicycle included in the recall is the green and purple trike with a white seat and yellow wheels. A Tinkerbell figure and three rotating fairy figures are located on the front of the bike. The recalled bicycles were sold in Target stores across the country for approximately $50 each. According to news reports, customers are urged to contact Kiddieland immediately for a free replacement.
