Around 485,000 Ford Escape cars are undergoing a recall due to a sticky gas pedal, which could lead to a serious auto accident. The recall was initiated nearly a week after the problem was investigated. If a driver touched the gas pedal, the cables may stick to the engine cover, which can lead to the vehicle moving forward without stopping. More than 60 complaints including 13 collisions were reported as of yet. “This is not a situation where the engine would accelerate or go into a wide-open state on its own,” Ford spokeswoman Marcey Zwiebel said. The Ford Excape SUV has gone through two other recalls as of lately, according to news reports. We highly recommend using caution until this issue is resolved
