In a news release, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), in conjunction with the Target Corporation, announced the recall of 6-pc.LED Flashlight Sets; which when turned on, the led flashlights can heat up and produce smoke and fire. This defect could possibly result in dangerous fire accidents and burns. This recall affects approximately 55,000 packages of the flashlights. The flashlight sets can be identified by the UPC code 490021010049 that is printed on the back of the package. Consumers are being asked to stop using the flashlights at once and to return them to a nearby Target store.
As a Lancaster personal injury attorney, I understand the potential dangers that defective products pose to consumers and have witnessed this kind of safety recall many times in the past. If you have been injured through the normal use of a defective product, contact a personal injury lawyer experienced in these matters to discuss your rights as a consumer.
