A man from Montgomery County was killed in a two-car crash in Polk Township Friday night. The Pennsylvania State Police said that a 69-year-old man was driving west along Route 534 at the time of the wreck. He was driving through the intersection at Barry S. Drive when he was hit by a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu being driven by a 32-year-old from Coaldale. He was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash and was thrown from his 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. At the scene of the crash he was pronounced dead by officials. The Coaldale man was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest for treatment of potential head injuries. He was also not wearing his seat belt.
