A motorcycle crash on Route 22 ended in tragedy for a 23-year-old man from Whitehall. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash due to head injuries. Police believe speeding and inexperience were factors in the crash, which happened just before 10am on Route 22. The motorcyclist was heading towards Route 22 when he started losing control while negotiating a hard right curve. He could not yield to westbound traffic, so he veered into the pathway of a vehicle. The car clipped the motorcyclist then he was hit by another vehicle. The drivers of both cars were not hurt in the crash.
According to news reports, the motorcyclist then crashed into the concrete median. Police are currently investigating.
