Tuesday night, a 17-year-old girl from Saxonburg was fatally wounded in an auto accident. Police believed she was texting while driving at the time of the crash, which happened the same day Pennsylvania passed a bill that would make texting while driving a crime. The fatal wreck happened in Jefferson Township. She veered off the road and went over a grass embankment, then overcompensated, causing her vehicle to slide sideways and crash into a tree on the driver’s side. She succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the wreck, according to news reports.
