In York County on Thursday a pedestrian was hit by a car and succumbed to their injuries. “A 2001 Honda CR-V operated by Leon Bowers, age 75 of Hanover was traveling towards the Square on Frederick Street when the vehicle struck a pedestrian who had entered the roadway mid-block,” says a police news release. The crash happened in Hanover and resulted in the death of a 72-year-old man, also from Hanover. He was brought to a nearby hospital then transferred to York Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. According to news reports, police are continuing to investigate and request that any witnesses contact police immediately.
