Efforts to block drivers from calling or texting while driving continue. Recently, Indian researchers have been able to develop an RFID chip that has the ability to bock a driver’s cell phone from making calls or texting while the car is in motion. It will not block the use of cell phones by others in the car. It also has the ability to inform the local authorities that the driver is attempting to make a call, but this function may not be used.
