Little Tikes Workshop and Tool Sets are being recalled due to a choking hazard. Over 1.7 million units were added to the recall of 1.6 million toy workshop sets and trucks recalled in August 2009. They have oversized, plastic nails which pose a serious choking hazard for children. Two incidents were reported when children choked due to the plastic nails. They were treated in the hospital and recovered fully. The recalled toy is part of 11 additional models of Little Tikes Workshop and tool sets. The plastic nails are red or blue. Their model number is on the product. They were made in China and the United States, and sold by retailers across the country for $25-100. According to news reports, customers should take them away from children as soon as possible and request replacement toy nails for free.
