Motorcycle Accident Victim Suffers Serious Injuries
A motorcycle rider suffered serious injuries Friday morning after colliding with the side of a minivan in Lower Allen Township. The injured motorcyclist was airlifted to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
The accident happened on Gettysburg Road and Hartzdale Drive, around 8:25 a.m., Friday August 15. Reports state the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Gettysburg Road when the rider crashed into the side of the minivan. According to police, the driver of the minivan was not injured.
Gettysberg Road Closed for 1.5 Hours
Gettysburg Road was closed for approximately an 1:30 while first responders helped the victims and while the accident was cleared from the roadway. Police are seeking any witnesses that may have seen the accident involving a motorcycle and a minivan on Gettysburg Road and Hartzdale Drive, around 8:25 a.m. An investigation is ongoing and any help would be greatly appreciated by local law enforcement.
