Press Release: David H Rosenberg files wrongful death suit against BP, Toyota After Gas Pump Fire
August 3, 2010 – The law firm of Handler Henning & Rosenberg LLP announced today that Lisa Rickenbach, the mother of L. David Byers, has brought suit against BP Oil Company, Toyota Motor Corporation and its affiliates in Philadelphia County in the wrongful death of her son who was fatally burned when a static electricity discharge ignited a fire at a BP gas pump. The operator of a vehicle involved in a fatal car crash in Harrisburg early Saturday morning was texting just before the wreck took place. According to Harrisburg Mayor Stephen R. Reed, texting may have played a role in causing the crash.
The recall will include the Toyota Camry, the top-selling passenger car in America, and will span model years from 2004-2010.
