Serious Injuries Sustained in Multiple Vehicle Car Accident in Lancaster PA

Route 222 Closed After Serious Accident

Route 222 is open now, after being closed for seven hours today in the aftermath of a serious multi-vehicle accident involving a car, a truck, and a tractor-trailer near Eden Road (Manheim Township). At approximately 7:45 am Monday morning, July 28th, Police say traffic was slowed considerably when a drywall truck struck the rear of a green passenger vehicle. The car came to a stop in the median and the drywall truck flipped onto it’s side and slid approximately 150 feet before slamming into the back of the big rig.

Accident Victims Suffered Serious Injuries

Life Lion was summoned to the scene to help with the accident victims’ injuries. Rescue crews took about an hour to extricate the two men out of the drywall truck, one was flown to the hospital via Life Lion, the other went to the hospital in an ambulance. There is no word on the exact condition of the two injured men at this time, only that their injuries are severe.
