Deadly Head On Crash in Mount Pocono, PA Involving Bus and Semi Truck

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a head-on collision involving a semi truck and a tour bus that killed at least three and injured more than a dozen others. The accident happened this morning on Interstate 380, near Pocono Mountain, in Coolbaugh Township, Monroe County, PA.

Several helicopters were used to transport the injured bus passengers to nearby hospitals for treating their injuries. Two patients are in fair condition at Scranton’s Geisinger Community Medical Center, and one patient in critical condition at Geisinger’s Wyoming Valley Medical Center. Pocono Med Center announced that they have treated and released 4 accident victims, and 4 more are still in the hospital.

From the crash scene, it would appear as though the Semi Truck crossed the median. Southbound lanes were reopened around 11:00 am. this morning. Any witnesses should contact local police to help them with their investigation.
