The Story So Far
Actemra, the newest treatment for rheumatoid arthritis in the United States, was initially celebrated as a new hope for Rheumatoid Arthritis patients because it had everything a patient needed with none of the risks. Traditional RA treatments have warning labels telling patients about the risk of heart failure, heart attack, and lung complications, but Actemra does not. The Roche-manufactured drug was approved in 2010 with none of the warning labels that might deter a normal patient. In May 2017, the FDA approved it again—this time to treat Giant Cell Arteritis.
However, news reports tell us we were wrong to trust Roche or their product.
Thousands of Deaths from Heart Problems, Lung Complications & Pancreatitis
Doctors from around the country are reporting that patients who take Actemra are dying from the same or similar conditions. Heart attack, heart failure, strokes, scar tissue in the lungs—these causes of death appear in 1,128 death reports released since Actemra hit the market. Even though the FDA has reviewed the drug multiple times since its approval, they simply lack the tools to confirm that Actemra caused these deaths—though doctors have admitted that there’s little chance it was something else.
In other words, the FDA hasn’t been able to protect you from harmful drugs. They certainly won’t help you with medical care or lost income after you’ve suffered. The only people who will help you find the protection and compensation you need are defective drug lawyers—people who understand the pharmaceutical industry and know how to bring justice to injured patients.
What You Can Do About It
Handler, Henning & Rosenberg is investigating cases of Actemra causing serious or fatal injury to patients throughout Pennsylvania. Our goal is simple: find out what happened to you or your loved one and get you justice. What Roche did was wrong—they should have put warning labels on their medications to help patients make the right choice for them.
By failing to report the danger of their medication, Roche made themselves responsible for the pain and suffering of hundreds or thousands of people.
Our team is responsible for winning cases involving pharmaceutical defects and side effects since 1922. We’ve recovered hundreds of millions in verdicts and settlements for injured and grieving Pennsylvanians, and we won’t stop until we know exactly what happened to you (and how we can force Roche to make it right with you).
Call (888) 498-3023 or contact our firm with a short online form. We’re happy to speak with you in whatever way is best for you. Let us get you the answers you’re looking for—at no cost to you.
